A Unique Approach to Foodservice Design
At KRBS, we use holistic methods to solve problems with our clients. After more than a decade in business - with decades more combined experience before that - we believe our process yields meaningful results and our clients seem to agree. Here’s how we do what we do.
First Steps: Let’s Talk
Building a solid foundation means starting with smart questions so we understand what each client hopes to accomplish and how the operation needs to function to ensure success. What’s the concept? What’s the program? What’s the culinary direction? Who are you serving? It’s okay if you don’t know the answers yet; we’ll help you find them.
Human-Centric Foodservice Design
Foodservice is a movement-based profession. That’s as true for the F&B director as it is for the dishwasher, as well as everyone in between. Our design philosophy is based on having everything in the right place for maximum efficiency, circulation and flow.
Choosing the right equipment
It’s our job to stay on top of equipment trends and innovations that benefit our clients. Given the outsized impact that equipment procurement and installation has on a project’s budget, we’re always examining how different choices can make the most of your dollars.
Incorporating Sustainability
Energy efficiency is a fundamental element in our design and equipment selection processes. It goes beyond simply choosing electric vs. natural gas appliances, and includes a thorough understanding of the cost, performance and environmental impacts of different decisions.
Can I Get a Drink With That?
There’s a ‘bar' in our company name for good reason. We love designing high-efficiency bar spaces for all types of programs, including juice bars, coffee bars, full service cocktail bars, and all the rest.
The Art & Science of Great Foodservice Design
Our dedication to precision shows up in the construction plans and other documentation we create for each project. From 3-D walk-throughs so you can see how things will look and feel, to the final construction documents we coordinate with the architectural and engineering teams, everything we do is centered on the idea of building clarity and doing things right the first time.
Let’s Do It Again
Our design practice has been successful thanks to referrals and repeat business from our clients and collaborators. Our goal – on every project – is to create vibrant, unique and efficient workspaces that maximize productivity, collaboration and creativity.
